If someone would have told me even a year ago that I would now be an active volunteer to build a staff union at Queen’s, I would have told them they were crazy! But I now know that Queen’s staff need a real voice in our workplace.

To be pro-union does not mean that you are anti-Queen’s! I’ve been at Queen’s for close to 21 years and I can honestly say that I love working for Queen’s and that I thoroughly enjoy my job and my department.

I am honored to be a part of this wonderful campaign and firmly believe that this is what we (as staff) need at Queen’s. Let’s work to maintain what we have and build for a better future.

While working on this campaign, I can truly say that I have had the pleasure of getting to know many, many more of my colleagues on a personal level and that your kind words of inspiration have kept me (and many others!!) going and staying strong during this process.
